Countries need to fully integrate the SDG agenda at the policy as well as at the programatic level, and therefore it will be imperative for Member States to not only monitor goals, targets and indicators, but also pass domestic legislations in line with internationally agreed commitments on women’s health.
Sai Racherla (Asian Pacific Resource and Research Centre for Women – ARROW) delivered her statement on behalf of the Women’s Major Group, during the Panel Discussion on “Changing approaches to Policy Making: the role of the Sustainable Development Goals”, at the 5th meeting, during the HLPF, held in New York, at the UNHQ, on 30th June 2015.
