Leaders’ Forum on Women Leading the Way: Raising Ambition for Climate Action, Learning Circles.
All participants at the Forum will take part in learning circles. These learning circles offer the opportunity for you to engage with representatives from all other stakeholder groups participating in the Forum. We hope that this interdisciplinary approach will stimulate lively, informative conversations and the lessons learned from these conversations will be fed directly into the Secretary General’s Climate Summit the following day. To help you make the most of this opportunity, we have prepared the set of guiding questions below as food for thought – please reflect on these questions in preparation for the learning circle discussion. Learning circles are used in many indigenous cultures to honor and share collective wisdom of a group, embodying the principles of equal participation and reciprocity. Through the learning circles, all Forum participants will actively engage in proceedings – they will provide you with the opportunity to voice your opinions and listen to, and learn from, other women leaders. Each circle will have a chair and a rapporteur. The chair will moderate the circle discussions while the rapporteur will be responsible for collecting your thoughts and feeding these back into the outcome material from the Forum which, in turn, will serve as in input into the Climate Summit.
