Recently, UNEP’s Major Groups & Stakeholders Branch called for elections in order to have new co-facilitators for the Major Groups to UNEP. The Women’s Major Group is happy to announce that after running an open and transparent election process among the members to the WMG-UNEP, the former co-facilitators were re-elected for another second period: Caroline Usikpedo from Niger Delta Women’s Movement for Peace and Development (Nigeria) & Isis Alvarez from the Global Forest Coalition (Colombia). As alternates, Sascha Gabizon from Women in Europe for a Common Future (Germany) and Alice Odingo from Soroptimist International (Kenya).
