We need regulatory frameworks for risky climate technologies, including such as geoengineering. We need full transparency on future costs and free and prior informed consent of impacted communities, in particular by indigenous peoples.
Tetet Lauron (Rosa Luxemburg Foundation, Philippines) delivered her intervention on behalf of the Women’s Major on “Review of SDG implementation and interrelations among goals: Discussion on STI”, during the HLPF 2019, held in New York, at the UNHQ, on 13th July 2019.
